Several former executives of Walmart (WMT) unit Flipkart are calling on Walmart to buy their stock options as the initial public offering of the India-based e-commerce company remains stalled, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

The former employees have held the stock options for as long as 15 years, while current Flipkart employees were offered the opportunity to sell stock options this year, according to the report.

In May, Walmart asked Flipkart to delay its initial public offering plans to focus on achieving EBITDA breakeven before the end of fiscal 2027, according to media reports.

Walmart didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
