Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed that it repurchased 973,000 ordinary shares on 17 September 2026 through on-exchange transactions at prices between HKD 2.79 and HKD 2.84 per share, spending HKD 2.74 million. The average price for the day was roughly HKD 2.82.
Including this latest tranche, the company has bought back 48.33 million shares since the current mandate was approved on 25 August 2026. The aggregate repurchases to date equal 0.41 % of the 11.73 billion issued shares outstanding when the mandate was granted. The board is authorised to repurchase up to 1.17 billion shares, leaving more than 1.12 billion shares available for future buybacks.
Repurchases carried out between 26 August and 17 September 2026 that are pending cancellation total 45.13 million shares, acquired at volume-weighted average prices ranging from HKD 2.82 to HKD 3.34, for an estimated outlay of about HKD 134.79 million.
In line with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until 17 October 2026.
