HTSC Opens Currency Election Window for 2026 Interim Dividend of RMB 0.18 per Share

Huatai Securities Co., Ltd. (HTSC) has released details on the currency option for its 2026 interim dividend of RMB 0.18 per share, which covers the six months ended 30 June 2026.

By default, registered H-shareholders will receive the cash dividend in Hong Kong dollars. Investors wishing to receive the payout in Renminbi must submit a completed Dividend Currency Election Form to Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited by 4:30 p.m. on 6 October 2026.

Key points of the announcement: • Dividend amount: RMB 0.18 per share (tax inclusive). • Default currency: Hong Kong dollars; optional currency: Renminbi. • Election deadline: 6 October 2026, 4:30 p.m. (Hong Kong time). • Exchange rate: Payments in Hong Kong dollars will be converted using the average RMB/HKD benchmark rate published by the People’s Bank of China over the five business days preceding 28 August 2026, the date of the board meeting that approved the distribution. • Operational notes: Shareholders opting for Renminbi should confirm that their bank accounts can clear RMB cheques and acknowledge potential clearing fees or delays, particularly outside Hong Kong. • Partial election is not permitted, except for Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Nominees Limited, which may elect to receive only part of its entitlement in Renminbi.

HTSC states that compliance with the submitted election form will discharge the company from liability regarding the chosen payment method and will not process any handwritten special instructions on the form.
