XTALPI (02228) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, LCC Technologies Ltd., has entered into a drug discovery collaboration agreement with the Board of Trustees of Stanford University. The partnership merges Stanford's expertise in disease biology with LCC Technologies' automated and AI-driven small molecule drug discovery platform to accelerate and advance the development of novel therapeutics.

Under the terms of the agreement, new biological insights emerging from Stanford's disease biology research will be evaluated using LCC Technologies' proprietary PACE™ drug discovery platform to assess their potential for development as small molecule therapies. PACE™ integrates fragment-based drug discovery, AI-powered computational design, automated synthesis, and iterative design-make-test-analyze (DMTA) cycles. The collaboration is not restricted to any specific disease area.

As part of the collaboration, principal investigators at Stanford will have the opportunity to propose projects to a joint steering committee established by Stanford University and LCC Technologies. The steering committee will evaluate proposed projects based on scientific merit, feasibility, and potential therapeutic impact, selecting the most promising candidates for further development through to clinical evaluation and beyond.

The board believes this collaboration strengthens the group's position in the AI and automation-driven drug discovery sector, providing XTALPI with access to early-stage collaborative opportunities through LCC Technologies, with the goal of converting promising biological insights into potential small molecule therapeutics.
